From Wednesday through the end of January, the Dubai Shopping Festival will be hosted for the 27th year in a row for the first time. Shopping discounts, concerts, nightly events, family entertainment, outdoor markets, and pop-up eating are all on the agenda for the weekend festivities. Additionally, several events will be held in conjunction with Expo 2020 Dubai to coincide with the exhibition.
In the words of Ahmed AlKhaja, chief executive of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, The Dubai Shopping Festival was first formed to assist local businesses in their growth, and it has now developed into the world’s longest-running and most internationally acknowledged retail festival.
As a showcase of the city’s diverse range of offerings, which range from shopping and cultural experiences to world-class dining and entertainment, the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) has played an important role in helping to establish Dubai as one of the best cities in the world to live, work, and visit over the years.
Additionally, the jam-packed calendar of Dubai shopping festival 2021 events this year helps promote domestic tourism and showcases our ability to securely welcome tourists from around the world. It also helps us maintain our position as a leading worldwide retail destination.
Here’s a rundown of what to expect.
Premiere of the Concert
Emirati, The Dubai Symphony Orchestra’s opening night performance, will take place on Wednesday at Burj Park and feature performances by Yemeni singer Balqees Fathi and Egyptian artist Mohamed Hamaki. Tickets start at Dh75 per person and go up from there. Additionally, a light show on the Burj Khalifa, dancing fountains, and performances by performance artists will be on display in addition to the live event.

DSF Drone Light Show
Once again, the DSF Drone Light Show will take place at Bluewaters Island, The Beach opposite JBR, and the recently opened Ain Dubai, among other locations. The show will take place twice daily at 7 p.m. and 9.30 p.m., and it will be accompanied by a light show at Ain Dubai, which will round out the experience.
Exhibition of Visual Arts
Six interactive art pieces by international artists will be on display as part of the Dubai Lights project, each of which will be distinctive and engaging in its way as part of the Dubai Lights project. For example, City Gazing Dubai by VOUW at DIFC Gate Avenue is a work of art inspired by the emirate and accompanied by Music that has been expressly recorded for it. The Pointe, La Mer, and the Last Exit in Al Khawaneej area also host artists’ work exhibitions.

Live Music and entertainment will be given throughout the city at 15 different sites, with the main stage being situated at La Mer.A series of performances will take place between January 7 and January 9, providing an opportunity for local talent to shine. Additionally, a performance by some of the biggest stars from the Arab world will take place simultaneously, although the names of those performers have not yet been announced.
Markets and sales in the open air
The DSF’s “unbelievable discounts” will be announced only 24 hours before they are offered by participating brands in various categories such as lifestyle, sports, fashion, beauty, home, and accessories, among others, starting on Monday, December 27.
Bottom Line
During the Dubai Shopping Festival in 2021, markets will be located in Al Seef, Rigga, Al Khawaneej, and Global Village. This year, Etisalat Market OBT will be joined by gourmet kiosks and concepts from across the Middle East at Burj Park.
